Cadel Evans gave an amazing show of courage, intelligence and determination to realise one of Australia's greatest sporting achievements by claiming the famous yellow jersey and winning the world's most famous cycling race,  the 2011 Tour de France.

Cadel was born in the small Australian outback town of Katherine in the Northern Territory in 1977 and moved to Melbourne as a boy. He now lives between the picturesque seaside town of Barwon Heads in Victoria Australia and Stabio in Switzerland.

Cadel's amazing win will certainly make all sport's loving Australian's very proud and at iCool we are so proud to have assisted so many Tour De France competitors over the years with our world famous mobile ice bath systems.

"I can't quite believe I've done it," said Evans, who was applauded by hundreds of  flag-waving Australians and supporters as he pulled on the yellow jersey for the first time in the race after he scorched around the undulating course in the heart of the French Alps in overcast conditions.

After near misses in the 2007 and 2008 editions of the Tour, Cadel's' triumph is a massive moment for the sport in Australia.
